If you live in Darwin, Kununurra, Maraoochydore or even Melbourne you may well ask where is Woodend.
Our shop in Woodend is situated in a typical small Victorian country town 67 kms north of Melbourne and now by-passed by the Calder Freeway. The original town was on the gold route from Bendigo to Melbourne in the 1800's. The town has hit the 21st century with fabulous little cafes and eateries, art galleries and antique shops, all on one main street.
In the surrounding countryside, you will find one of Australia's most iconic landmarks. Everyone has heard of Hanging Rock, made famous in the book by Joan Lindsay - Picnic at Hanging Rock, and the movie of the same name.
The other landmark of course is Kerri's Bundle of Bears in the main street. containing all these wonderful bears which are ready for you to take home. A stroll through the shop is a delight, a little bit of yesteryear and nostalgia. Kerri wants you to find your special bear - the one you will love forever - by browsing, touching and hugging.
If you happen to live in Albany, Brisbane or Gawler and you cannot visit the shop in person, you may now browse the website and find yourself a bear which will be treasured for life. The pages are colourful and interesting and will be updated as new bears arrive.
My very dear mother in law wrote the above story for me , Faith Botwood. Her comment was " it is one of the easiest web sites to find your way around, and take this from someone I know who is totally computer illiterate.
